Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country: Special Edition

Various incarnations of this film have appeared with sequences being removed on US TV and certain versions differing from the theatrical version to the home video version in the US and UK/Australia. This new DVD is essentially the fully extended home video version with a few added extras:

the scene where Martia is killed has had the audio altered so that her scream is more intense and lingers;
when Scotty is searching for the magnetic boots, there is a new wide angle shot of him reading the blueprints in the officer’s mess hall wondering where they might have been hidden;
the interrogation of Valeris (Kim Cattrel) has been totally redone so that there are close-ups instead of wide angle shots of Kirk and McCoy speaking and cutaways to the faces of those accused when Valeris reveals their names.

The scenes featuring Rene Auberjonois are still included.
