Angel Heart

This film has been under the scrutiny of the censors in several countries over the years. This film originally received an X rating in the United States because of some high level sex scenes with Mickey Rourke and Lisa Bonet. While no genitalia could be seen, the pumping action of Mickey Rourke's backside did get the censor's attention. Apparently you can show the naked butt of a man as long as it doesn't move. Well, move it did here and in some prints this is cut out. There is also some violence and horror themes during said sex scene and this also influenced some of the film's harsh ratings. There is also a scene featuring a cock fight and this was reportedly cut from some UK prints. In regards to both the above, I believe that the version we have here is the full version without censorship. I'd like to find a cut copy for direct comparison, but I feel that we are not being robbed in terms of censorship with this version.
