The version presented on this disc is the original US theatrical cut, which was allegedly heavily cut by the studio. An "unrated" cut is available in Region 1, but it is not particularly more violent that the version presented on this disc. The only particularly notable difference between the two cuts is that the back-story narration told at the start is somewhat longer and more in-depth. All the significant alterations between the two cuts are presented as deleted scenes on the Region 4 disc.
