The Australian release does not carry the "unrated" tagline as does the US release because in the US, this extended version of Sin City was not rated by the American censors, the MPAA. In Australia, this title was re-classified by the Aussie censors, the OFLC, because it differs from the original, shorter theatrical verison. This is law.
"Unrated" on a US release does tend to imply restored censored footage. The local distributors correctly dropped this meaningless term from our Blu-ray cover. Assuming the running times for the 1080p 24fps US and Australia Blu-ray releases are comparable, if not identical, we do have the full so-called "unrated" version. (Rod W. 3/6/2009)
