It was a tragedy on an epic scale, the day the plane flying into Dalston crashed. As bodies are being pulled from the wreckage, Diane Halstead (Cheryl Ladd) the pilots wife, arrives on the scene to find all around her, technicians, FBI agents, looters, insurance men and the press are swarming, active in the pursuit of their own ends. One group which has already left the scene, however, is the Airforce, having already pulled top secret, "Star Wars" cargo from the debris.
The fight to clear her husband's name of liability for the plane crash, exposes all that is corrupt when the authorities pounce to exonerate their name from blame.
No tragedy of this scale ever carried with it so many twists and turns and when the bodies have been counted, this aftermath of mysteries takes much longer to bury.
