Horror Of Frankenstein - Frankenstein is probably the most enduring of cinema's horror creations. Since 1910, the part of the monster has been played by such screen legends as Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Jr., Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee.In this memorable version Baron Victor Frankenstein (Ralph Bates) appears more interested in his philandering than he does in the more bizarre branches of science. But he still finds time to create yet another spine chilling monster played by Dave Prowse (Star Wars' Darth Vader). The film benefits from Hammer's excellent production values, particularly art direction and make-up.
