In their 1998 Oscar nominated roles, Emily Watson and Rachel Griffiths star in the compelling true story of the musically-gifted DuPre sisters and the unique and powerful relationship that bound them together.Jacqueline DuPre (Emily Watson) was one of the greatest cellists of the 20th century, a consummate performer who dazzled audiences around the world with the unconventional passion and beauty of her music. Her sister, Hilary (Rachel Griffiths), was a talented flautist who, by contrast, chose to live the simple life - she married, had a family and moved to the country. In spite of their differences they shared common emotions - including jealousy. As Jackie struggled with her rapid rise to fame, her journey would have incredible and devastating consequences on both her and her sister's lives.
