When Eve (MEG RYAN) isn't being pulled in a million directions by her own life, she's being sucked into lengthy phone conversations with her cranky father (Grumpy Old Men's WALTER MATTHAU) or her two sisters (played by DIANE KEATON and Friends star LISA KUDROW). But when their father's health begins to fade, theings go from bad to worse. The family becomes more and more dependent on Eve, transforming her into a human switchboard that connects them all together and forcing her to realise that sometimes, to be heard you just have to hang up.
