The archetypal raptor is the Golden Eagle, one of the most majestic and efficient hunters in the animal kingdom. This bird searches for prey for its own survival, and the survival of its offspring. Each raptor has its own specialised adaptations, such as the owl's hearing, the digestive system of the vulture, and the reproduction of peregrine falcons. Raptors are supreme hunters, and just about every part of their anatomy, and every aspect of their behavior comes back to their need to hunt.
