Life couldn't be more perfect for Nick - soccer, mates and his girlfriend Karen - until things start to go wrong. While at work on a construction job, he drops something unexpectedly. He experiences double vision and dizzy spells and has trouble playing a familiar old Moody Blues song on the piano. With his hand near a stove, he is suddenly unable to feel any pain. As his body slowly succumbs to multiple sclerosis, he experiences a wide sweep of jagged emotions, and in the process gives himself and those who love him the strength to carry on.
