In the late 1940s, when television as we know it was just beginning, the producers, directors and stars were all flying by the seat of their collective pants. From day to day, they were all guessing, even the Network executives. But soon, two performers began to stand out from all the rest. They were Milton Berle and Lucille Ball. Lucy went on to star in five TV sitcoms, one of which was The Lucy Show. The Lucy Show was the third series to which Lucille Ball used to dominate the Monday line-up on CBS. Season 5 - episode number 119. Original Air Date: November 21, 1966. John Wayne comes close to losing his first movie battle when Lucy barges onto the set of his newest western and reeks havoc. EPISODE 4 - Lucy with George Burns. Guest Star: George Burns. Season 5 - episode number 111. Original Air Date: September 12, 1966. George Burns sees Lucy at the bank and asks her to be his partner in a vaudeville act. They open a small club and are a huge success. EPISODE 5 - Locy Meets the Berles. Guest Star: Milton & Ruth Berle. Season 6 - episode number 137. Original Air Date: September 11, 1967. Lucy works part-time for Milton Berle. She almost drives him drazy when she mistakenly thinks he is cheating on his wife Ruth.
