Set in an unnamed Midlands town in England, TWENTYFOUR SEVEN features Bob Hoskins as Alan Darcy, an inspired visionary obsessed with restoring dignity to a town's dissolute youth. Seeking to restore the safe haven he had during his own reckless youth, Darcy sets up a boxing club and persuades the local lads through a football play-off to release their anger and aggression through a sport requirind discipline and finesse. Through Darcy's tough but naive enthusiasm for this colourful group of local teens, a change of attitude and identity slowly emerges in them eventually restoring a sense of spirit and pride.
