Hollywood legend HUMPHREY BOGART is at his hard-boiled best in this stylish thriller directed by JOHN CROMWELL. As Rip Murdock, Bogart is an ex-GI trying to clear the name of a murdered friend, when an investigation leads him into a maelstrom of intrigue and treachery... and into the presence of Coral Chandler, a femme who may prove to be fatal.No stranger to the genre, Bogart is in top form here, as is the seductive LIZABETH SCOTT, who matches her leading man measure for measure. Full of atmosphere and crisp dialogue, DEAD RECKONING is a great showcase for this fabulous screen couple and a classic example of 40's film noir.
