A naive American student, Archer (Frank Whaley), is anxious to discover the real Russia. He finds himself caught up in a perilous web of intrigue after he gallantly helps a neophyte hooker, Lena (Natalya Negoda), out of a spot of trouble. The beauty has stolen a priceless work of art, and as events spin out of control, the tourist finds himself without a passport, accused of murder, hunted by police, and pursued by a ruthless smuggler.
