Kim Gyngell has appeared in countless Australian feature films and TV series but it was on The Comedy Company show that he established his most timeless character - the hapless Colin Carpenter..Colin, permanently unemployed, forever on the dole, is one of life's casualties bewildered by the complexities of everyday life. Yet somehow Colin always seems to survive by his own unique brand of logic. When authority challenges Colin it always loses. Maybe there's a little bit of Colin in all of us.
