1976 Manly versus Parramatta After the Manly double of 1972/73, the great Eastern Suburbs side seized power, but it took another mighty side to get it back in 1976.This time it was the partnership of Frank Stanton and Bob Fulton that took Manly to the summit, employing every ounce of their brains and brawn to overcome a gallant Parramatta unit that - like Cronulla three years earlier - was having its first tilt on the last day of the season! Thanks to their composure under pressure, the Sea Eagles prevailed 13-10 in a thriller. 1978 Manly versus Cronulla The 1970s was already an extraordinary decade for Manly-Warringah by the time they ran onto the SCG to face Cronulla in the big one for '78. The new super power of Rugby League had snared three premierships in six years, but adding a fourth stretched them to breaking point. Having already come through three sudden-death semi-finals that included a replay, the battle-weary maroon and whites were forced into an extra 80 minutes after the grand final finished 11-11, but it simply brought out their best with a slashing 16-0 success in the replay. Enjoy the full game of the drawn Grand Final and 27 minutes of the replay.
