Join award-winning film makers David Parer and Elizabeth Parer-Cook as they unravel the mysteries of the Tasmanian Devil.

Tasmania is home to the biggest marsupial carnivore left on earth - the Tasmanian Devil. In the past, the Devils have had their share of bad press. Creating their dens under farmhouses, screaming blood-curdling cries at night and scavenging on dead animals, they were thought to be indiscriminate killers and pests.

Terrors of Tasmania highlights another side to the Devil's personality and challenges the preconceived ideas about this extraordinary animal. It follows the life of a female Devil as she chooses a mate, gives birth to three healthy pups and raises them to independence.

Set against the striking Tasmanian landscape, Terrors of Tasmania is an insight into the nature and behaviour of creatures found nowhere else on Earth.

The DVD also includes a BONUS interview with producers David Parer and Elizabeth Parer-Cook as they discuss their outstanding careers in film making with George Negus.
