Five-time Grammy award winner Dionne Warwick ignited her remarkable four decade long career singing the Burt Bacharach arranged hits "Walk on By", "I Say A Little Prayer", "What the World Needs Now" and "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?". Imbuing Bacharach's deceptively complex material with simplicity and great emotion, Warwick emerged as one of the defining vocalists of her generation. The first black female artist to win a Grammy Award (in 1968), Dionne's hit-making relationship with Bacharach and lyricist Hal David continued for over two decades. The fruits of this all-conquering collaboration are showcased in this definitive 40 minute documentary (which includes rare performance clips, childhood photos and interviews with everyone from Bacharach to Elton John); and through rare live TV performances recorded in the 70s and early 80s (where she is joined by special guests Tom Jones and Marilyn McCoo of The 5th Dimension).
