War-time Melbourne, May 1942... Ivy McLeod is murdered on a dark night. Six days later another woman is murdered in a blacked-out street. This time an American G.I. Is seen running from the scene. A week later, the killer finds a third victim. Australian and American forces join in a giant manhunt that eventually tracks down the criminal. He is 24 year old G.I. Edward Leonski (Rob Brown), a tall, handsome young man with a penchant for fun and robust living. When he drinks, he starts looking for women to "get their voices". At Leonski's court martial, Ira C.
