In Les Murray's World Football Challenge, players have the opportunity to work their way up the game ladder by answering Les' football trivia questions correctly. Competitors must fight their way through the seven ladder positions to the Elite round, answering questions about football in Australia and around the world, including the Fifa World Cup, the UEFA League and the British Premier League. There are questions about the rules of the game and the history of the sport, about the superstars and classic moments of world football!

Serious football fans, who reach the top level of the World Football Challenge ladder and answer the Elite level questions correctly, will receive a password and be able to enter themselves into Les Murray's World Football Challenge online Hall of Fame.

Les Murray needs no introduction. Since the beginning of SBS in 1980, Les Murray has played a prominent role in the enhancing the profile of football in Australia. In one of the few countries where the sport is not a national game, football - thanks to saturation prime-time exposure on SBS, has been firmly put on the agenda of Australian sporting culture.

Les was made head of SBS Sport in 1996, and currently hosts SBS Nightly "Toyota World Sport", "The World Game", and is head commentator for the FIFA World Cup.

Les Murray appears in the World Football Challenge as your host. He guides players and comments on their progress, and will personally celebrate or berate each player as they move through the game.
