SECRET AGENT

Starring: John Gielgud, Peter Lorre 1935
A masterful spy drama with a fantastic cast. A secret mission in Switzerland is undertaken by a "dead man" with a hit-man as his assistant. The plot is further confused by a colourful mix of characters who add to the intrigue in this tense and gripping story.

THE FARMER'S WIFE

Starring: Jameson Thomas, Lillian Hall-Davis 1928
A silent romantic comedy in which a distraught farmer looking for a new wife is helped by his housekeeper. She loves him but can't tell him. Subtly amusing story proving love can be blind.

JUNO & THE PAYCOCK

Starring: Barry Fitzgerald 1930
The dramatic story of a family in revolution torn Ireland. The Doyle family believe they have inherited a fortune and immediately adopt a lavish life style, but life can be cruel. A twist to the tale that only Hitchcock could contrive.

RICH AND STRANGE

Starring: Henry Kendall, Joan Barry 1931
Fred and Emily inherit a fortune and book a cruise. Snubbed by their fellow passengers they rediscover romantic feelings with halarious results. A marvellous comedy performed for the most part without dialogue. Entertaining to the last frame.

THE LADY VANISHES

Starring: Margaret Lockwood, Michael Redgrave 1938
A riveting story set on a train crossing Europe. Spies, intrigue, love and death. An apparently defenceless old lady disappears, but was she so innocent? Laden with suspense and drama that was to become a hallmark of Hitchcock's movies.
