A sit-com about a talk show, with Garry Shandling as Larry, the series (which ran from 1992 to 1996) was a darkly funny look at the world of showbiz and featured cameos from innumerable celebrities playing a sometimes grotesquely distorted version of themselves. Although some of the topical jokes date the show it still stands up as a revolution in comedy. A pity that the 13 episodes are slapped on to DVD with a transfer quality that is a real disappointment.
