1997. Somewhere next to the border in Eastern Hungary. This is where Ivan the car mechanic lives with his impaired sister, Eszter. Ivan earns some extra money smuggling diesel fuel through the border. The small village where he lives have trust in the construction of the new highway which might develop their subsistence.

One day Eszter got raped by a stranger in the near woods. The police investigation has no outcome, in fact it became burdensome for Ivan. After the traumatic event Eszter carries on living her life as she used to but became mute, refusing to say a word. Ivan falls in love with Ilus, a girl from his village, who just finished her state graduate exams and will move to another town, as she gains pass to university.

Soon Ivan finds himself alone. His plans seem to fail, as police warn him to end up with smuggling fuel. By the time Ivan - by coincidence - manages to get revelations/recognitions with Eszter's rape, he has no intention to turn to police again. He has to meter out justice himself.
