There’s no doubt the Holden Racing Team has been the most successful in V8 Supercars of recent times. Consistently on the podiums around the country, the Holden Racing Team is the team others aspire to “knock-off”whether it’s in practice, a shoot-out lap or the sprint and endurance races. The 2001 year was theirs again, both in the Shell Championship Series, and the mighty V8 Supercar 1000, Bathurst. Mark Skaife was teamed with Jason Bright this year, and they took a car each to Bathurst with veterans Tony Longhurst and Tomas Mezera - driver matches made virtually a year earlier.
