A viciously funny portrait of the Hollywood rich and not-so-famous based on David Rabe's sensational smash hit Broadway play.
Hyper-intense casting agent Eddie (Sean Penn) is on the verge of a lifestyle crisis and fuelling his insecurity, along with his cocaine habit, are his three best friends - business partner Mickey (Kevin Spacey), hungry-for-success actor Phil (Chazz Palminteri) and desperate writer/producer Artie (Gary Shandling). As their personal lives threaten to veer into a catastrophe far more interesting than anything they're peddling to the film studios, three women enter their self-obsessed universe to shatter what little cool reserve they have left.
