Everything, that is, but a meaningful personal life. His relationship with his long-term girlfriend, Janine, is continually pushed aside whenever his job takes precedence, which is almost always. With no hope for marriage in sight, Janine decides to end things with Mitch, and pursues a singing career. One of Mitch's Univeristy professors, his favourite, is dying. Mitch realises through the words and inspiration of this man, Mitch finally discovers what is true and real about life. Through all kinds of trials and tribulations Mitch comes to a point and realises a lot more than he bargained for. This is Jack Lemmon's last Film....
