American Claire has just moved to Glasgow and is eager to meet some new and interesting people. She decides to start a book group. To her dismay, those who arrive for the first meeting are very peculiar. Among the group there’s Kenny, a handsome guy in a wheelchair who wants to be a writer Janice a bored and frustrated wife of a footballer and the eccentric Barney, who Claire is strangely attracted to.
