117 PRESUMED GUILTY When Marc Griffin, a mutant with the power to steal people's memories, accidentally kills his girlfriend, he fixes the only possible witness, Adam, with a mesmerizing stare, collapsing him to the ground. As Adam slowly regains consciousness, he finds the grief-stricken Griffin standing over him wielding a gun, and Griffin blames Adam for her murder. Confused and with no memory whatsoever, Adam shakes his head in disbelief. As the Police arrive, Adam escapes not knowing who he is, or where he is going.
118 EX MARKS THE SPOT Zack Lockhart, a mutant who has the power to penetrate solid objects and reveal their contents holographically, meets with GSA agents to go over plans to break into a highly secure vault. After assessing the risks involved, Zack refuses to participate, but as the GSA agents whip out their taser truncheons, Brennan and Jesse arrive and overpower them. They escape with Zack and inform Shalimar, who is furious when she realizes that Zack is her former boyfriend, who brought her nothing but trouble in the past.
