Ronnie Dobbs (David Cross) and Terry Twillstein (Bob Odenkirk) are losers of equal proportions, just from different spheres of society. While Dobbs is a mullet clad drunken buffoon with a taste for trouble and knack for getting arrested, Twillstein is a failed infomercial personality who needs a miracle to pull him out of financial ruin.
But when Terry spots Ronnie getting arrested (again) on an episode of "FUZZ", a Cops-like TV show, he gets an idea that is going to take them both from the back end of society to the top end of Hollywood.
Ronnie soon finds himself the centre of a nationwide frenzy with all eyes on him. But he will quickly discover that running from Hollywood is a hell of a lot harder (and not half the fun) than running from the cops.
David Cross and Bob Odenkirk, creators of the HBO cult hit series "Mr Show", bring you a comedy of infinite proportion with hilarious musical interludes, a bounty of bare assed gags and cameos by too many people to count on one hand.
