A romantic comedy of a women's determination to succeed in a world dominated by men, Kate plays a floor model at Harrods who dreams of having her work published. Married to Alec a critically respected but struggling writer. Kate is looking for any opportunity to have her talents recognized. Vanni Corso plays a wealthy American publisher looking to sign on new writers. While in London to sign Alec, whom he believes he can market into a best selling author, Vanni visits Harrods and is instantly attracted to Kate, who fends off his sophisticated advances. While signing Alec, Vanni reads a draft written by Kate and realizes that she is the same woman who caught his attention at Harrods. With Alec on a lecture tour of Russia, Vanni sets his sights on Kate by signing her to a publishing contract. This arrangement eventually leads to romantic complications for all concerned. It may be a man's world but never underestimate the power of a woman.
