He's happy to drink and joke his way through this nightmare. However, he finds that people can't help but treat him differently...some are afraid, some repulsed, some fascinated and some, like the gorgeous Gwendolyn from the office, want to play doctor and make him feel better any way they can. While in hospital, he meets the 'out there' Lynn, a patient who's more then his match in the sarcasm stakes. Together they laugh, fight, steal, throw food at nurses and struggle to stay both physically and spiritually alive. They've got IV drips hanging off their heart strings.
