Based on a three-character, one-act play, Tape is set in a seedy Michigan motel room. The room is rented by Vince (Ethan Hawke), an ill-tempered but gregarious party animal who has returned to Michigan to attend the premiere of his friend John's (Robert Sean Leonard) documentary at a local film festival. When the pair get together to reminisce, events take a dramtic and unexpected turn, plunging the two men and another high school friend (Uma Thurman) into an evening of unforgettable tension. |
