A disc with the programming split over two sides of the disc, so that you have to get up and FLIP the disc over part-way through watching it. Extremely annoying, and less and less common now that dual layered discs are commonplace. Note that a disc which has the programming on one side and the extras on the other is not generally considered to be a flipper, nor is a disc with fullscreen and widescreen versions on either side.
