Age Group Old enough to do anything, young enough to enjoy it.
Video Likes Sharp, fully saturated images, restored classic movies.
Video Dislikes Edge enhancement, transfers without 16x9 enhancement, Pan and Scan transfers, worthless extras that take up space better devoted to the movie, incorrect aspect ratios, and did I mention edge enhancement?
Audio Likes Well balanced sound. Use of the rear channels to help immerse you in the action.
Audio Dislikes Distortion, unclear dialogue.
Favourite DVDs The Fifth Element, 2001: A Space Odyssey, True Lies, The Usual Suspects, Alien, Aliens, Hollow Man, Braveheart, Contact, The Birds, The Dish, Forbidden Planet, Vertigo, Torn Curtain, Lawrence of Arabia, North By Northwest, Point Break, Roxanne, Shakespeare in Love, Mrs. Doubtfire, Sphere, Terminator, Terminator 2, Fight Club, Twelve Monkeys, Total Recall, Ronin, Predator, The Game, any Star Trek, I could go on and on......
Least Favourite DVDs Flubber, Titanic (because it's not 16x9 enhanced), Godzilla, Dune.
Most Eagerly Awaited DVDs Star Wars (Eps. 4, 5 & 6), Indiana Jones Trilogy, Stargate, Blade Runner Special Edition

Opinions About Specific Movies and their DVDs

Titanic I liked the movie but feel ripped off by the DVD because it wasn't 16x9 enhanced.
The Matrix Fantastic special effects, pity about the rest of it. I probably would have liked it better if Keanu wasn't in it.
Terminator 2 One of my favourites. Cutting edge special effects when it was made. A rare case because the sequel was even better than the original, which was also a great film.
Star Wars Where can I get these on DVD?
Godzilla Its only redeeming feature is that is gives the Sub a good workout
Independence Day Forget about the story, just sit back, suspend your disbelief, and enjoy the ride.
