Duellists, The (Blu-ray) (1977)
Ray N

Cover Art Set during the Napoleonic wars, The Duellists starring Keith Carradine and Harvey Keitel was Ridley Scottís first every feature film; and a beautiful film it is too that looks spectacular in this Blu-ray release. . Sponsored by Atomic Movies.

The Loves of Carmen (1948)
Ray N

Released in 1948, The Loves of Carmen starring Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford is based on the original novel Carmen by Prosper Merimee rather than Bizetís opera. The tale of a weak, jealous man obsessed by love and ruined by a brazen and wanton gipsy woman remains the same though. The Loves of Carmen is included in the 12 disc / 12 film The Films of Rita Hayworth Platinum Collection from ViaVision. . Sponsored by Disk Doctor.

Uncommon Valor (Blu-ray) (1983)

Time has been surprisingly kind to Uncommon Valor - it's an exciting men-on-a-mission action flick with a macho cast and hard-hitting action sequences. Those who enjoy '80s action movies should enjoy the hell out of this one. For its Blu-ray debut, Uncommon Valor looks and sounds surprisingly good. Although the HD master is slightly dated, textures are strong and the movie looks pleasingly sharp. The lossless 5.1 soundtrack, too, is satisfying despite a few shortcomings. I wish there were extras, but I'll live. On the whole, this is a smart buy, especially considering the low price point. Recommended. . Sponsored by Atlantic DVD.
